I used to be a Palm fan, and had owned almost every major model between 1997 and 2002. However, when the Palm execs told their customers in 2003 that we didn't want WiFi, and then went on to release their inferior and resource intensive PalmOS 5, well ... I decided to switch. I bought an iPaq2210 on eBay and it did far more than I ever expected my PDA's to do.

I like some of the older Palm models, as they were quick and solid. However, because of their "leadership", I will not support them further :???:

As for WiFi in Japan, I have some ideas to help people in Japan find decent access for cheap (a.k.a. ¥0)

Sounds like you're an iPaq fan and you love the current one. How has the upgrade gone for you? I just ordered a Palm Tungsten E2 from the U.S. I went with the E2 instead of the TX because I don't think I'd use wifi and I'll save $100. I like the Palm OS better than Windows Mobile. By the way, what's up with the wifi service here in Japan? I'm so used to everywhere in America having free wifi, but can't find it here. It's totally lame.
