I probably will be updating to this version with my sites because it does sound liek a pretty good idea to do so....I generally don't though because the old versions usually work just fine for my purposes. In fact I have one site that I have made several changes to internal program files so that while it is still Wordpress, I know it will take several hours to get everything back to the way I like it if I upgrade :???:

I'm sure many people have said this but, when it comes to any kind of upgrade, back up early and back up often.

The last thing we want to do on a weekend is try to piece together a site that's been damaged so far beyond repair that we need to cut losses :???:

Good one Jason!

Thanks for all the testing and info. One is always reluctant to plunge into update water because of the danger of losing data, mods, etc. I lost a <a href="http://weblog.biznz.net/2008/07/12/what-everybody-ought-to-know-about-wordpress-backup/" title="How to Recover the Data" rel="nofollow">whole blog</a> last week doing an update to 2.5.1 - GRRRR.
