First Snowfall Of The Season
January 13, 2009 Home, Japan, Living in Japan
I had originally written a full article about the first snowfall of the season here in Kakamigahara, but I decided instead just to post the pictures and let them speak for themselves.
I love snow … it’s a shame that it often completely disappears by mid-afternoon.
The first picture is from yesterday, and the ones below are from today. The weather doesn’t forecast anymore for the next few days, but I hope we get dumped on as this part of Japan is sorely lacking the white stuff

You can have some of our snow, I’m getting tired of shoveling it. Oh, and it sticks around all winter long and there will probably still be some in May! We got dumped on again yesterday…
I’d gladly take some of your snow, Nick. Do you think FedEx would be up to the challenge of getting it here before melting?
LOL, that sure would be a challenge for them. A harder thing would be figuring out how to ship it all…if it weren’t -40 outside right now I’d consider at least taking some pictures for you but that will have to wait until it warms up a little bit
