Wheee! Opera 10.5 is now installed. It's a sad day when installing software is far more exciting than typical work. Far too many reports ...
The one thing I look forward to with new keyboards is wearing out the "new keyboard" feeling ... these keys aren't smooth enough, yet :P
@glen_malley Dammit! That was going to be my one sole comfort for this afternoon, too ...
Alrighty ... just finished installing the basic utilities on the new notebook. Now to install the productivity software!
@ujm Gotcha. When it comes to speaking Japanese to the people who can kill me while I sleep, it's better to use the best language possible.
Gah! Seesmic reported my last post failed, so I typed it again ... it didn't fail at all! Grr ... sorry for the double-post
@Durf @sandkatt Thanks for the tips, I'll be sure to use them at the next opportunity :)
@Durf @sandkatt Thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to use that at the next opportunity :)
@nikimurata @sandkatt Would it be alright for me to say this to my wife or mother-in-law when they stress out? Or would it be suicide?
@sandkatt Ah, そうですか. I've heard the phrase a few times, but didn't know its meaning. Thankies!
@nikimurata Umm ... ふりがなおねがいします ... can't read that kanji (yet)
@Durf Teaching is fun,no? You get to pretend you're an all powerful, all knowledgable person on all things linguistic! A ちびナポレオン so to speak
@shinpuren Ah, I see. I haven't had too many problems with Seesmic's Win client, but the system does become laggy whenever it grabs updates.
Why does WinXP think I need a 2048 MB paging file when there is 2048 MB of RAM in the system? That's a little excessive, no?
@shinpuren You use an awful lot of different Twitter clients, it seems. Which one do you find best in a Windows environment? (WinXP / Win7)
Has anyone heard of Qualidator? Is their site analysis tool any good? They've apparently checked my site out and given it a "pretty good" :o
@Durf I found out it's actually because of Intel's ProSet software ... a "tool" that I've never used in my life. The driver is 4MB itself :/
@jamesinjapan Luckily, the office here hasn't been cleaned in decades ... found a 1.44 MB floppy under a stack of old reports (seriously) :o
Whoa! Why is the WLAN driver for a Panasonic notebook 187 MB in size? That's ridiculous!
@jamesinjapan Which is why I always brush my teeth before getting on the train, and chewing gum while on it. If only others would be so kind
@markmatsusaka I should show my wife this picture ... I'm sure she'll want to have kids even more!
@shinpuren Whoa! What a difference in avatar! I like your old one better ... Jason Bourne is more cool than scary (unless he's pissed off)
It's been a long time since I've used a floppy disk ... it brings back memories of my more mischievious days. Kinda like what I'm doing now!
Wow ... I had to go and find a floppy disk to prepare my "new" computer ...
That said, super happy that I'll be able to actually get some work done, now
