@jamesinjapan I was kidding, of course. I had one student talk for an hour about the 3 kinds of kanji, but it was instigated by him, not me.

@jamesinjapan Ah, that's my bad. People come to learn English and French from me, then I use their lesson time to ask them how to read kanji

3 hours of German will give me the ability to introduce myself and order a coffee, yet this one guy expects to negotiate in German next week

I sometimes wonder why people take 4 lessons in a foreign language and then wonder why their ability hasn't improved any #StrangeCustomer s
